
 - 2010 Oaklawn Racing Season - | February 11 Thursday July 6, Boranda wins again! February 11 Thursday, February 11th was a good day for Arkansas Breds. In the second race the three year old gelding "Tune In Again" was a dominating winner by almost four lengths. Owned and bred by Gerald Prince "Tune In Again" is by Father Steve out of Sweet Mt. Music by Mt. Magazine. Then in the fourth race "Simply Bonita" was a galloping winner for Owner and Breeder Lewis Matthews, Jr. and Trainer Tom Howard. Jockey Quincy Hamilton was aboard this three-year old daughter of Storm And A Half out of the Valid Expections mare Lone Star Rocket. Oaklawn's fifth race produced another Arkansas-Bred winner when the 5-year old gelding "Chance And A Half" became the first two-time winner of the 2010 season. Ridden to victory by Calvin Borel and trained by Ron Moquett, "Chance And A Half" is by Storm And A Half and is owned by Chuck & Ella Lou Hagaman and was bred by Gene & Darla Biggs. February 10 Saturday, February 6th Gary correctly selected the longshot winner of the King Cotton Stakes, Racing Bran, who raced on the lead the entire way and paid $24.80 to win! February 1

Arkansas Breds are off and running at the 2010 season at Oaklawn! To this point 10 Arkansas Breds have won and some in very impressive fashion! On January 23rd McCroklin drew away down the stretch to win by 10 lengths! On Sunday, January 24th handicapper Gary Weir correctly selected the winner in 8 out of 9 races. This gives Gary a total of 32 winners for the first 8 days of the season.
